To be able to give you an appreciation for our discerning concept of impeccable coffee, certain important steps are required during its production which we carry out with care, the greatest attention to detail and our love.
This starts with the careful selection of the raw materials with the strictest quality controls. We only work with green coffee, the areas of origin of which we are personally familiar with; we also have to be completely convinced of the working methods at the appropriate coffee farms and haciendas.
We also attribute considerable importance to the fulfilment of the Fair Trade requirements. Fair trade ensures that the coffee farmers receive a fair and reliable income and enables them to comply with international environmental and social standards. Furthermore, we also sell 100% organically grown coffee. We prioritise the use of mild, mature Arabica coffee beans for our roasts which contain low levels of caffeine and have digestion-friendly attributes.
At Caroma we roast our coffee every day – with the roasting frequency depending on the requirements. Thanks to its slow and gentle roast, our coffee is especially appetising and digestion-friendly. Our coffees are always air-cooled before being packaged using flavour-preserving nozzles in quality-protecting packaging – in the heart of the natural idyll of the Sciliar massif in South Tyrol.
